Best Practices from Latin America and the Caribbean

Switzerland's International Cooperation strategy 2021-24 envisages a gradual withdrawal from Latin America and the Caribbean by 2024. After more than half a century of development cooperation, Switzerland is closing its bilateral programmes in Bolivia, Cuba, Haiti, Honduras and Nicaragua.

In this context, the SDC has launched several processes to capitalise on its experience, both historically and sectorally (Gender, Culture, Peace, Economic Development, Disaster Risk Reduction), with a view to sharing the products of this capitalisation and transferring the learnings and good practices accumulated by the SDC over the last 50 years.
