SDC’s Bilateral Cooperation in Latin America and the Caribbean: Achievements in a Nutshell
By 2024 SDC is phasing out its bilateral cooperation with Latin America and the Caribbean after 60 years of presence. What are the main achievements, the legacy and lessons learnt? The report summarizes highlights and the essence of a comprehensive meta-analysis of SDC’s engagement in eight countries as well as of five related thematic studies (deep-dives).
How to Deal with Conflict Sensitivity in Practice: Capitalisation of Experiences on CSPM and PSA in Latin America and the Caribbean
Interventions by the international cooperation are never conflict neutral. This CAPEX provides a range of experiences and practical examples from Latin America and the Caribbean about the implementation of Conflict Sensitive Programme Management (CSPM) and the PsychoSocial Approach (PSA). Both approaches need to be adapted to the specific context. While CSPM has been largely institutionalized and is applied systematically in fragile and conflict-affected contexts, the PSA is not yet conceptualized and applied to the same degree. In addition to the report, the CAPEX offers two factsheets (one on CSPM and one on PSA), summarizing practical examples and recommendations on how to implement CSPM/PSA in SDC programmes, as well as two animated videos illustrating the most important lessons learned.
