Regions@SDC

Switzerland's international cooperation efforts are organised into three geographical divisions or regions: Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia - Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), and MENA – Europe. Each division adopts an integrated approach, combining development cooperation and humanitarian aid.

The Sub-Saharan Africa Division focuses on fragile or conflict-affected areas, while the Asia - LAC Division prioritises the least developed countries. The MENA – Europe Division covers the Middle East, North Africa, and Eastern Europe, emphasizing peace, prosperity, and humanitarian aid.

Thematic advisers and staff offices support these divisions in their respective regions.

The SDC is a learning organisation. It promotes a culture of individual and organisational learning both internally and in its partnerships. We hope you enjoy the insights presented on this website.
